Vocational Education and Training in Schools are programs undertaken by school students as part of the senior secondary certificate that provide credit towards a nationally recognised VET qualification. The training that students receive reflects specific industry competency standards and is delivered by a Registered Training Organisation or a school in partnership with a Registered Training Organisation.

Design College Australia offers VET in schools programs in both Graphic Design and Photoimaging. The programs are a great opportunity for students to gain a qualification while still at school and lets them make informed choices when choosing career paths. Students who successfully complete a VET in school course will gain 8 credit points towards their Queensland Certificate of Education.

These students will also be eligible to gain direct entry into the second semester of Design College's Advanced Diploma in Visual Communication. Students will also produce a portfolio which will assist them if apply to tertiary institutions.
