introduction to letterpress

Design College Australia offers experimental letterpress courses providing
a hands-on insight into the creative printing technique.  Designers will
use antique wood and lead poster type from the College's extensive type 
collection to create unique, tactile prints. Working intently with individual
pieces of type heightens sensitivity to the interactions between the letter
forms and the typesetter.  Final designs can be printed on a range of
traditional presses from a single colour proof press or a hand fed platen press.


 
Duration:  		4 days (each Sunday for 4 weeks)
