introduction to letterpress in 2 nights

DCA's introduction to letterpress course runs for two nights and provides 
designers with an insight to this creative printing technique. Designers will 
utilise wood and lead poster type from the Design College's type collection, 
as well as having the opportunity to experience how type was cast on a 
Ludlow typograph and a 1915 Linotype typecaster. Participants will work 
on a project over the two nights and final designs will be printed on a range of 
presses from single colour proof presses through to a hand fed platen press. 
Working intently with individual pieces of type, heightens sensitivity 
to the interactions between the letter forms and your design. 

Duration:  	2 nights (Wednesday 27 June & Wednesday 4 July)
