full-time courses

Full-time courses involve 20 contact hours per week, divided into
two morning sessions and two evening sessions, and a further 20
hours of independent study. Wednesdays are lecture free; first year students make use of the college facilities, and lecturers are available
to assist with independent study and projects. Second year students
use this time for industry placements or design related employment.
This facilitates their smooth transition into working within the industry when they graduate.

The Advanced Diploma course is broken up into four six-month
modules, covering foundation design, print design, multimedia design and integrated design. Each module builds upon the knowledge taught
in the previous and is a prerequisite for the next, so they cannot be studied out of order or concurrently. The modules may be taken consecutively to complete the course in 2 years, or, as each module
is also designed to stand alone and provides an exit level qualification, students can opt to take a break between modules. This flexibility allows students to take up career development opportunities as they arise,
and continue their studies with consideration for their personal, professional, and employment commitments.
